Regimen Equity Partners is a long hold private equity firm dedicated to transforming local and regional companies into powerful multi-national organizations. Their focus is Canadian based small to medium sized enterprises with EBITDA in excess of $3.0 million. They are selective in what they invest in and search for companies that may not necessarily be the most exciting, but are backbone businesses which they expect to remain relevant for the next 20 years. With offices in Vancouver and Toronto, Regimen’s six portfolio companies span over four provinces.

Thesis

Regimen believes that real wealth is generated by adding to and not cycling through. With all of their portfolio companies, they create tangible value by growing and nurturing teams, expanding into new markets, improving technology systems, introducing additional product offerings, and much more. They understand that their propensity to buy and hold is uncommon for private equity, and that is what makes Regimen unique. They don’t profit by financially re-engineering balance sheets and taking drastic cost cutting measures. By committing 15-20 years to strengthening the fundamental operating platform of an organization, and re-investing the gains into new opportunities, everyone can reach their financial goals. Team

Cooper Seeman, CPA, CA – Managing Director
Cooper co-founded Regimen Equity Partners in 2014. Previously, he was the Managing Director of Abacus Private Equity, which completed over fifty highly structured transactions involving in excess of $2.2 billion in assets. Prior to Abacus, Cooper was the VP of Finance at Highgate Holdings, a hospitality and real estate family office, which became the largest independent owner/operator of hotels in Manhattan. He led over $250 million in transactions and was a key team member on an additional $900 million of projects.

Gerry Bellerive, CPA, CA – Managing Director
Gerry co-founded Regimen Equity Partners in 2014. Prior to joining Regimen, Gerry was a partner and one of three founding members at Capital West Partners, Vancouver’s leading mid-market M&A firm. His corporate finance experience for both public and private companies spans a wide variety of industries including commercial and industrial services and distribution, manufacturing, financial services, oil & gas, retail and technology. Completed mandates include sell – and buy-side engagements, raising capital for buyouts and business expansion and IPO advisory. Over the past 10 years, Gerry has led over twenty M&A transactions totalling approximately $750 million.

David Eisler, P.Eng, MBA – Managing Director
David joined Regimen Equity Partners in 2017. Prior to joining Regimen, David was with Stern Partners, which is a family office that owns and manages 20 companies with over 7,000 employees. He also spent 14 years as a Managing Director with Banyan Capital Partners where he co-managed the firm’s two institutional funds that raised $145 million and invested in 15 companies over that timeframe. Prior to Banyan, David worked in investment banking with Scotia Capital Inc. where he assisted clients on initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and equity and debt financings in a variety of industries. After completing his undergraduate engineering degree, David worked for Husky Injection Molding Systems Ltd.
