As part of our commitment to stay current on the latest investment industry trends, Raintree Wealth Management, (RWM) maintains active memberships in several industry associations. One example is the Canadian Association of Alternative Strategies & Assets (CAASA). CAASA includes 200+ global members, consisting of investment managers, service providers, accredited investors, family offices, foundations and pension plans, representing a broad cross-section of public and private market participants.

Last week, CAASA held their Virtual Family Office Summit. The Summit featured over 200 attendees, including our very own Adrian Morgan, VP and Portfolio Manager at RWM. In addition to gaining actionable insight on how several large industry players are positioning their portfolios amidst an ongoing pandemic, Adrian was part of a select group of conference attendees who were invited to open the Toronto Stock Exchange on Thursday, August 6, 2020. Not sure if Adrian and the CAASA team brought the ‘magic touch’ but the TSX closed positive that day. He even managed to show love for his beloved Toronto Raptors. Here’s a brief clip:
